Mitsubishi has unveiled the refreshed 2016 Outlander at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, which we’ve been highly anticipating at Pete Moore Mitsubishi following the automaker’s series of teasers prior to the show. The results of the reveal were not disappointing, either.
The new model comes with a redesigned face and so many engineering and design improvements that it “looks, drives, and feels like an entirely new vehicle, making it an even more compelling value than before,” according to Mitsubishi North America’s executive VP, Don Swearingen. This newly redesigned Outlander is not simply an aesthetic update; there have been numerous other changes to the SUV as well.
The front of the car is certainly eye-catching with its new half-chrome, half-blacked out grille, redesigned fenders, halogen headlights, and LED position lights. Updates also include a more composed chassis and rigid body structure, as well as improved sound insulation.
Though the engine will likely be the same, a new CVT transmission promises to make the acceleration more snappy and the shifting more responsive. We can’t wait to see the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander here at Pete Moore Mitsubishi!
