Not only did the Japanese car manufacturer reveal its restyled and retooled Outlander at the New York Auto Show – which will be the new signature look for the automotive brand – but it also recently announced plans for an EVO hybrid SUV to succeed the Lancer EVO. But the latest news heralding from the Japanese auto company is the upward trajectory of the brand’s finances, evidenced by Mitsubishi’s April sales record, which marks the 14th consecutive year-over-year sales increase!
With sales up by 25.6% since last April, this marks the best April sales that Mitsubishi has seen in seven years – thanks in large part to the top-selling Outlander Sport compact crossover. The Mirage 5-door sub-compact, as well as the 7-passenger Outlander crossover, also maintained strong April sales numbers.
“In March, we finished the first quarter of 2015 with an incredible sales pace. And that momentum carried over into April with our core models continuing to lead the way,” said MMNA Executive Vice President, Don Swearingen. He goes on to say that, “our cars are not only priced right, but they are also economical to own, exceptionally reliable and are backed by an industry-leading warranty.”
