Taking care of your car is difficult, especially in the harsh winter weather. Now that winter has come and gone, it’s time to play catch-up! With warmer weather here to stay for most of the year, now is the time to prep your car for spring. Here are some spring car care tips that likely apply to your car.
- Tires – If you’re a safety-conscious driver, odds are you added air to your tires during winter. Warmer weather increases tire pressure and that could cause your tires to overinflate. Let some air out if that’s the case and be sure to take a look at your tire’s tread depth while you’re there!
- Wash – It isn’t easy to wash your car during winter, especially if you live in a cold climate. With spring here, it’s time to wash off all the dirt, grime, and salt that accumulated on your car over the past few months. Doing so will prevent paint damage and rust in the long run.
- Wipers – Ice can do a number on your wiper blades and make them practically useless in heavy spring rains. That’s why it’s important to check your blades for cracks and wear. If you find a problem, replace them. You never know when it will pour!
Although we don’t see very harsh winters here in Pensacola, FL, doing these few things can still help get your car ready for the warmer summers that are just around the corner.
