Mitsubishi first came to America in 1982 and, in the 34 years since its debut, it’s made some major strides and achieved some major milestones all across the country (and the globe, but we’re focusing on the good ol’ US of A for now). On December 26th, one of the last days of the year 2015, Mitsubishi reached one more of those major milestones: they sold their 5-millionth vehicle in America.

Mitsubishi started off in the United States with only three sedan models, the Cordia, the Starion, and the Tredia, and we know where they’ve gone from there. Whether it was with the widely popular Lancer or the stunning Galant, it seems that Mitsubishi has never stopped growing, improving, and stealing the scene. When you look at Mitsubishi’s long history of excellence and innovation in engineering, it’s not hard to imagine how they hit their 5-millionth vehicle in America mark. We’re sure that having 21 consecutive months of year-over-year sales growth didn’t hurt, either.

Today, Mitsubishi Motors North America offers five impressive vehicles: the Outlander and Outlander Sport, the Mirage, the Lancer, and the all-electric i-MiEV. (Keep an eye out for Mitsubishi’s big moves in the EV market!)

It sure feels good to be one of those 5 million, doesn’t it? Here at Pete Moore Mitsubishi, we want to thank all our loyal customers for staying with us!
