The third annual Pensacola Mud Run will take place Saturday, October 24, with heats starting in the morning at 7:30am and lasting throughout the day. The Mud Run will comprise a five-mile obstacle course with 20 obstacles as well as a shorter course for kids, which is only a mile long with five obstacles.
The competitive heat will take place first thing in the morning, followed by many non-competitive heats that are just for fun, with the only goal finishing the course. The day will end with the Kids Run. The Pensacola Mud Run was first introduced in 2013 as a fundraising event for Pathways for Change, a local nonprofit that provides assistance to those affected by poverty and addiction.
Registration for the competitive heat costs $59, while registration for the noncompetitive heats is $49, and the Kids Run entrance fee is $29. The event will take place on County Highway 95A, with the entrance near St. Matthew’s Baptist Church.
Family and friends are welcome to come and watch the races, and refreshments will be offered, as well as a large television playing the football game. Will you be at this year’s Pensacola Mud Run? Let us know at Pete Moore Mitsubishi what you think of this great charity event!
