The Blue Wahoos are Pensacola’s Minor League baseball team. While the franchise has been around since the late 1950s, the team only moved to Pensacola—and gained the Blue Wahoos name—in 2012. The team’s name was chosen in a fan contest, beginning its tradition of being an essential part of Pensacola’s unique local culture.
Though the team recently lost against Birmingham, they made headlights in MiLB news, thanks to Kyle Skipworth. Skipworth recently hit his sixth home run in a single month, setting a new record for Pensacola and bringing pride to the team.
The Blue Wahoos’ upcoming games will be first against Jacksonville, then against Biloxi, Mississippi. They play Jacksonville on Monday, July 20 and Tuesday, July 21, both at 6:35pm. The Biloxi games will occur through July 22-26. Each of those games is at 6:35pm as well, except the Sunday game, which is at 4:05pm.
This is the last chance to see them at home until the second week of August. Ball games are a great way to spend the day out with family, so come out to support your Wahoos at the award-winning Pensacola Bayfront Stadium and purchase a ticket today!
